Welcome to the Seizure Prediction Project in Freiburg!
On this homepage, you will find information about the seizure prediction project in Freiburg, Germany. It is run by an interdisciplinary group of researchers of the University Freiburg and the University Hospital Freiburg.
In January 2008, the EPILEPSIAE project funded by the European Union was started in collaboration with partners in Coimbra (Portugal), Paris (France) and Venice (Italy).
As part of the EPILEPSIAE project an extensive database of long-term recordings of the intracranial and surface EEG was compiled. More information on the database can be found at http://www.epilepsy-database.eu/.
We had the pleasure to host the 3rd International Workshop on Seizure Prediction in Epilepsy from September 29th until October 2nd 2007 in Freiburg, Germany. Thanks again to all the participants!
The Book Seizure Prediction in Epilepsy - From Basic Mechanisms to Clinical Applications which contains manuscripts of the speakers of the workshop is now available.
As a part of the workshop, an international Contest on Epileptic Seizure Prediction was initiated. This contest has been expanded to include seizure detection. You are welcome to participate!
Furthermore, we manage a mailing list for the community which is working in the field of seizure prediction or on related topics.
